Are you active on Instagram? Wrong question, who isn’t right? So what was the last picture you posted on Instagram? Was it from your recent trip, or a birthday wish to your dear ones. You must have used to mobile to post.
Most social media platforms allow you to post both from PC and mobile. But, that is clearly not the case with Instagram. It doesn’t allow you to post from PC. You must use your mobile to post your images, which can be a hard task if you’re someone who saves their images in your computer for editing etc. So transferring those images to your mobile to post is a tedious task. So, what if you can post your pictures from your PC. No Instagram has not added this feature yet, but by following a few steps you can post it.
Over the years businesses have considerably shaped themselves and walked hand-in-hand with technology. They have adapted themselves to changes in the market. One such change is implementing social media into their product promotion. Businesses have used the social media platform to interact with their customers on a regular basis. So always using mobile for posting images on Instagram is hard for their social media managers. So it is important to learn how to post an image on Instagram using PC to save their time and resources.
Here is how you can post on Instagram from PC.
Step 1: Open Google on your PC, usually this way you can post your image but you can’t make any edits. So for editing tools.
Step 2: Click on the drop-down button in the corner right of the Google home page. And select more tools option.
Step 3: In the more tools button, go to developer tools.
Step 4: once you choose a developers tool, you would see that a pop-up window has appeared at the bottom with codes in it. That window is called Developer Tools Window.
Step 5: You would find a mobile icon on the top-left corner of the developer tools window. When you click on would see the icon turning blue. When the icon turns blue, your browser window will now display your page in mobile view.
Step 6: If you have already logged into your Instagram account, it will show your feed in mobile view. If you have not yet log- in into your account, then log-in into Instagram. If you don’t have a profile yet, then login-in and sign-up yet Instagram.
Step 7: You would add (+) symbol at bottom-centre of your Instagram profile.
Step 8: Click on it, that will naturally open the file explorer window on your computer. You can choose your pictures from there.
Step 9: Choose a picture from your desired location. And click open. It will open on your Instagram feed.
Step 10: Before Uploading the picture usually you would make edits to the picture. But, with chrome, there are not many editing tools available. All you can do is rotate the image using the rotate icon, or you can select a filter from filters present at the bottom-left corner on your profile.
Step 11: You may sometimes not see the filters due to your desktop’s security settings. If you don’t see the applied filters on your image you can disable ad-blocking or privacy extensions and then check it.
Step12: Click next, on the upper-right side of the page.
Step13: Click on write a caption field and add your description and hashtags.
Step14: Then add your location and tag people by clicking on their respective fields.
Step 15: After filling all the necessary fields you can click on share present on the upper-right side of the page. And the post will get uploaded on your profile.
Step 16: Once you return to your normal browser view, click on (X) button on the top-right of the developer tools panel.
Safari
Step1: click on the compass icon present at the bottom of the screen in the Dock.
Step2: Enable Develop menu, by clicking on the Safari menu at the top of the page. Then select preferences, and then select advanced in the preferences. Check tick in the box of show develop menu in the menu bar and then close the preferences window.
Step3: Open a new private window, and click on develop menu present at the top of the screen. Then select the user agent in the develop menu. When you select the user agent a pop-up menu will appear.
Step 4: Click on Safari–iOS12.1.3–iPhone or more recent version in the menu to obtain safari mobile version view.
Safari>Preferences>Advanced>Show develop menu in the menu bar>Develop>User agent>Safari–iOS 12–iPhone.
Step5: Login into your Instagram profile, once you see you’re Instagram feed. Click on the (+) present at the bottom centre of your profile. When you click on (+) it will open the finder window.
Step6: Open the desired folder and select the picture you want to upload and then click on (choose) present at the bottom-right of the window.
Step7: Once your image is attached to the new post, edit the image, you can add filters present at the bottom of the page.
Step8: Then click on the next button, on upper-side of the page.
Step9: Add a description, location and tag people by clicking on their respective fields.
Step 10: Once all your desired fields are filled. Click on share button present on the upper-right side of your profile. Your photo will get updated on your Instagram profile.
Step 11: Don’t forget to change your safari window to the default view, if not all other websites may also appear in mobile view.
FireFox
Step1: Open FireFox, in windows you will find it in the start menu, in Mac you will find it in the applications folder.
Step2: Once the Firefox window opens, you can click on the menu present on the right side of the Firefox window and click on a new private window. Or you can use the shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+P) for PC.
Step3: Once the new window is opened, click on the menu button present on top-right of the window.
Step4: Click on the web developer in the menu and choose web console from the web developer menu. Once the command is executed you would see a window with codes open at the bottom. That window is called the Web Console.
Step5: Once everything is set, go to the Instagram login page and log in into your profile.
Step6: Click the mobile icon on the web console. This way your firefox Instagram window will turn into mobile view.
Step7: Click on Responsive menu present at the top of the page. Then a list of different mobiles and tablets models will appear. Select your mobile model and your window will automatically be updated according to your mobile screen.
Step8: If you see a message on the top of your window saying your changes won’t be saved until you reload your page. Then click on reload button of the left- top corner of your page. If you don’t see any message then simply proceed.
Step9: Click on the (+) button at the bottom centre of the page. Once folder containing your photos opens up, select an image you want to upload and click on open.
Step10: Once the image is added you can add filters to the images. If you don’t see the filters, try disabling your privacy or add-on extensions and then try adding again.
Step11: Click on next to add the image to your new post. Add description, city and tag people by using their usernames.
Step12: Once all the desired steps are fulfilled click share and the image is automatically posted to your page. Don’t forget to change your browser to default.
